Hello everyone, my name is Matt Lennox and I’m the Visitor Experience Manager covering the central area which includes Roadford Lake and Siblyback LakeI have been involved with the great work South West Lakes Trust do since the age of 16, starting off as a kayaking instructor during the summer months at Tamar. Unlike most of my colleagues I entered the sailing world quite late, growing up I was more into surfing, football and swimming. It was only when I started working for the Trust I learnt to sail which is a great example of the training and personal development opportunities that come with the job.

My job nowadays as Visitor Experience Manager is extremely varied which is what I really enjoy, during the summer months the days are long but I get to spend a lot of time on the water. During the off season I spend a lot of my time planning and preparing for the coming season – recruitment, finding new business, equipment purchasing and repairs, facility improvements are just some of the things I get up to stay busy when the weather is fowl outside!
