We have five Activity Centres across the region, where you can hire watersports equipment, launch your own craft or learn something new with our friendly and qualified instructors:

Extend your stay and camp at Roadford Campsite, Siblyback Campsite, Stithians Campsite, Tamar Campsite or Wimbleball Campsite.


Our lakes provide the perfect setting for a great day out in Cornwall, Devon and on Exmoor. Venture along our trails, encountering nature face to face. Refuel at our onsite cafés with delicious snacks, cakes and hot drinks. Enjoy a wide range of fun things to do – try an activity on or off the water for the very first time, shoot an arrow or swing through the trees, discover paddleboarding or explore our lakes by canoe. Extend your stay and enjoy a night under canvas, create a family holiday packed with new experiences creating lifelong memories.

Enjoy a family friendly camping holiday at Tamar Lakes on the Devon and Cornwall border. Experience sleeping under canvas or glamp in our wooden pod. Tamar Lakes offers a unique outdoors camping holiday near the Cornish coastal town of Bude. 

There’s plenty of things to fill your holiday with fun and adventure! Hire our watersports equipment or launch your own when the Activity Centre is open (usually May to September). Explore the lake by foot or bike or take to the water on a canoe, paddleboard, kayak or sail boat. Enjoy a camping holiday in Cornwall packed with fun and lifelong memories. Let your children’s imagination run wild, collect leaves, find bugs, go on a nature hunt and let them loose in our new play area. 

Ditch the iPads and experience a real life adventure, explore our two lakes, walk through woodlands, build a den, skim stones, catch a fish or climb a tree. Walk, run or cycle across the Cornwall and Devon border and see if you can spot herons, dragonflies, kingfishers or even an otter. It's your outdoors - come and explore!

   

The Campsite 

Tamar Lakes is an AA graded, 2 star campsite in Cornwall. The site benefits from spacious pitches, a children’s play area, onsite showers and toilets, washing up area, baby changing room, waste disposal and recycling facilities as well as on site watersports, fishing and a cafe.

There’s a choice of electric and non-electric pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Please note, we cannot accept motorhomes larger than 20ft due to access to the campsite.

Camping Pod

'Lily' is our basic 4 berth camping pod, perfect for families not wanting to travel with large amounts of camping gear. Provided is: 2 bunk beds, a table and chairs, cutlery. There is a solar powered light, but no other electricity supply.

Sorry, we do not allow dogs inside the pod

 

The Local Area

Enjoy a day trip out and visit the popular Cornish coastal town of Bude. Stock up on food and drink, explore the beaches and outdoor sea pool or enjoy a walk on the South West Coastal Path. Go back in time and visit the historic Cornish villages of Clovelly or Boscastle or venture further. Under an hour’s drive from the lake are Wadebridge, Dartmoor National Park and the ever popular Cornish beach town of Newquay.
