We have five Activity Centres across the region, where you can hire watersports equipment, launch your own craft or learn something new with our friendly and qualified instructors:

Extend your stay and camp at Roadford Campsite, Siblyback Campsite, Stithians Campsite, Tamar Campsite or Wimbleball Campsite.


Our lakes provide the perfect setting for a great day out in Cornwall, Devon and on Exmoor. Venture along our trails, encountering nature face to face. Refuel at our onsite cafés with delicious snacks, cakes and hot drinks. Enjoy a wide range of fun things to do – try an activity on or off the water for the very first time, shoot an arrow or swing through the trees, discover paddleboarding or explore our lakes by canoe. Extend your stay and enjoy a night under canvas, create a family holiday packed with new experiences creating lifelong memories.

Take to the water and try canoeing, sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking and much more with our onsite activity centre. You can hire watersports equipment, launch your own kit or take part in sessions run by qualified instructors. Roadford is also a popular brown trout fishery, so you definitely won't be short of things to do during your stay. It's your outdoors - come and explore! 

   

The Campsite 

Roadford Lake is an AA graded 3 star campsite. This scenic location benefits from spacious pitches, a dedicated camping shower block, disabled facilities, an undercover barbeque area, a washing up area, washing machine and dryer, baby changing facilities, waste disposal and recycling facilities.

There’s a choice of electric and non-electric pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes as well as a fantastic bell tent called Bertie. We now also offer 'premium' pitches. Fire pits are available at an extra cost on request from £12 per night (subject to availability).

Camp in our luxury bell tent

Take the stress out of camping with this fantastic 5m furnished bell tent for the whole family - ideal for those looking for comfort and style.

The tent sleeps up to 4 people with a standard double bed and a small double futon (camp bed available if needed - please state when booking).

A cooking pack can be hired separately for £5 per night to include gas stove, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.

Sorry no dogs inside the tent and cars must be parked in the car park.

Please note, there is a 2 night minimum stay for the bell tent.

Roadford Café

During your stay why not treat yourself to a delicious lunch from our onsite café?

Just a short 30 minute walk along our woodland footpath will take you to the popular Roadford Café which also boasts a gift shop, children’s play area, cycle trails and walking routes which lead to the impressive sundial. 

The Local Area

Roadford is the perfect base to explore the spectacular Dartmoor National Park. Enjoy a day trip out and discover some more of South West Lakes Trust's Dartmoor sites including; Burrator, Fernworthy, Meldon, Avon Dam, Kennick, Tottiford and Trenchford.

Venture through miles of footpaths and trails, whilst taking a moment to appreciate the peaceful beauty of water, woodland and forestry. The lakes really are an idyllic setting for families, couples, watersports enthusiasts, anglers and nature lovers all searching for their own peace of tranquillity. 

Within easy reach of Roadford are the historic towns of Launceston and Okehampton and some of the best beaches in Devon and Cornwall are less than an hour away.
