Our lakes provide the perfect setting for a great day out in Cornwall, Devon and on Exmoor. Venture along our trails, encountering nature face to face. Refuel at our onsite cafés with delicious snacks, cakes and hot drinks. Tamar Lakes, located close to the popular coastal resort of Bude, provides the perfect setting for your next family day out or camping adventure.
Surrounded by British countryside, and nestled on the Cornwall and Devon border, Tamar Lakes are popular with walkers, runners, cyclists, families, sailors, bird watchers and anglers, all searching for their own piece of tranquillity.
Take to the water and hire a kayak, canoe, paddleboard or sail boat or, if you have your own kit, you can launch it on the lake and experience a completely different view of Tamar Lakes.
The three mile circular path around the upper lake is also suitable for bikes, pushchairs and wheelchairs. Don't forget the camera - the countryside is humming with wildlife; why not see what you can spot from one of the bird hides? It's your outdoors - come and explore!

As the nights draw in, the temperature drops and the leaves start to turn, our lakes are beautiful places to visit in the autumn.
Drink in the scenery while exploring miles of footpaths and cycle trails, wander through woodlands or simply enjoy being close to nature.

Already have your own kit? You can launch your own kayak, canoe, dingy or stand up paddleboard at our lakes! And, if you are a regular visitor, you can even become a member and launch as often as you like at all five activity centres!
