We have five Activity Centres across the region, where you can hire watersports equipment, launch your own craft or learn something new with our friendly and qualified instructors:

Extend your stay and camp at Roadford Campsite, Siblyback Campsite, Stithians Campsite, Tamar Campsite or Wimbleball Campsite.


Our lakes provide the perfect setting for a great day out in Cornwall, Devon and on Exmoor. Venture along our trails, encountering nature face to face. Refuel at our onsite cafés with delicious snacks, cakes and hot drinks. Enjoy a wide range of fun things to do – try an activity on or off the water for the very first time, shoot an arrow or swing through the trees, discover paddleboarding or explore our lakes by canoe. Extend your stay and enjoy a night under canvas, create a family holiday packed with new experiences creating lifelong memories.

  • Siblyback Lake was dammed in 1968 and when full has a capacity of 3,185 mega litres.
  • Siblyback Lake has a surface of 140 acres and supplies East Cornwall and beyond.
  • Siblyback Lake is located on Bodmin Moor and is recognised as being one of 12 areas in Cornwall designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
  • The Cornish translation for Siblyback Lake is Lidn Keinsibly
  • Bodmin Moor is designated an International Dark Sky Landscape which makes Siblyback the perfect location for a spot of stargazing on a clear night.

Siblyback Lake offers an excellent day out in Cornwall and there’s plenty of fun and free things to do. Discover a range of wildlife from our hide, build dens, go on a nature hunt or simply relax and enjoy the spectacular views. Spark your children’s imagination for engineering and nature – walk, run, skip or cycle to Siblyback Dam, everyone loves watching water cascade down this megastructure!
