Explore nature and contribute to wildlife conservation by joining us on Thursday 6 August at Burrator Reservoir for an engaging Dragonfly survey day. The event will be held at the County Wildlife Site and surrounding wetland areas.

Date: Thursday 6 August
Meeting point: Burrator Discovery Centre
Time: Meet at 9.45am to begin the survey at 10am. The event will end around 2pm.

How to prepare

Wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, as the terrain may be uneven and muddy.
Bring water, snacks and sunscreen to stay refreshed and protected during the outdoor activities.
Binoculars, cameras or notebooks if you would like to record findings.

Who can join?

Whether you're an experienced wildlife enthusiast or curious about nature, this event is open to everyone. It’s a fantastic opportunity to engage with the local environment and learn more about odonata - the scientific order of carnivorous insects that contains dragonflies and damselflies!
