Two separate and exciting opportunities to operate mobile catering concessions under Licence at Fernworthy and Trenchford reservoirs are open for Tender by South West Lakes Trust. Situated within the stunning Dartmoor National Park, which attracts over 2.4 million visits each year, these locations will offer an independent operator the chance to provide light refreshments and sundry items to visitors.

Fernworthy Reservoir  is located near the idyllic village of Chagford and attracts over 33,000 per year. Popular with walkers, fishermen, nature lovers and families alike, the site benefits from a car park, seasonal public toilets, a round reservoir walk and is surrounded by areas of woodland and moor. We are offering an annual Licence for a catering concession to operate from within the main visitor car park.

Trenchford Reservoir is one part of a series of three reservoirs on East Dartmoor, adjacent to Kennick and Tottiford Reservoirs, which combined attract around 54,000 visits each year (21,000 just to Trenchford). Water flows between the three lakes which are popular fisheries (coarse and game), walking destinations and blessed with an abundance of local wildlife. The location makes it a popular spot for tourists and local people including residents of Torbay and Exeter. Much like Fernworthy, there are public toilets, a car park, picnic areas and bird hides. We are offering an annual Licence for a mobile catering concession to operate from the main car park at Trenchford, although it might be possible to service visitors to the other lakes as part of the operating model, to be proposed by the operator.
