2018 Activity Instructors

We are looking for enthusiastic and outgoing instructors to join our growing team to help deliver exciting and educational activities for the 2018 season. Our Centres are located at Wimbleball, Upper TamarSiblyback, Stithians
and Roadford.

Sarah Hallett

I spent 10 years working in the retail and sales industry, across a range of outlets – New Look, McDonalds, Dorothy Perkins, Clinton Cards where I worked my way to assistant manager and completed my NVQ L2 in retail. After taking two years out to have my babies and moving from Saltash to Broadwoodwidger I decided I didn’t want to go back into the industry so started volunteering at Roadford with a dim view of maybe becoming a kayaking instructor (I used to kayak when I was a youth). Phil discovered what my background was and persuaded me to take the receptionist job with a promise of helping get instructor tickets. I spent 18 months learning how to sail, funded by Cornwall Marine Network, before qualifying as a dinghy instructor last June. Whilst learning to sail I gained tickets in the high ropes, indoor climbing, archery and safety boat, whilst taking on more jobs in the Roadford office, and helping train other staff in different admin areas.
