Donations and Legacies

South West Lakes Trust is a registered, independent charity. The Trust receives only a small amount of public funding and so relies on the income it can generate, grants it can secure and the generous donations from people who want to ensure the sites and activities South West Lakes Trust promotes through its campaigns are accessible for the enjoyment of the local community and visitors from further afield.

You can help support the Trust’s campaigns, a particular activity, a site near you or some of our work. Your gift, however given, can make a real difference.

Legacy

Think of your favourite Lake, would you like to help maintain that special place for future generations?

A gift of even 1% of your estate can make a real difference so after you have provided for your loved ones and friends perhaps you will be kind enough to consider South West Lakes Trust in your will.

A gift of 10% can have tax benefits. If you are thinking of naming us in your will or have already done so, please call us if you are happy to and let us know so that we can thank you now.

We are so grateful to everyone who has already left us a legacy, no matter how small or large their gift. Every penny helps us protect this special place now and for future generations to enjoy.
