Waggy Walk and Talk at Wimbleball

10:00 am

8th April 2018

On Sunday 8 April join South West Lakes Trust and Dogs Trust for a guided ‘Waggy Walk and Talk’ around part of Wimbleball Lake – something for you (and your canine companions, if you have one) to enjoy.

The walk, which costs only £4.00 per person (free to under 16's) will start at 10.00am from the Activity Centre and will take walkers to the dam and back (approximately one to two hours) – so a nice, pleasant and easily accessible walk for everyone to enjoy. What’s more, one of our fantastic Countryside Wardens will be guiding the walk, highlighting some of the special flora and fauna around the lake, as well as talking about the management of the site. Dogs Trust will also be on hand to talk about the charity and to answer any questions you may have.

All money raised from the entrance fees will be split between the two Trusts. There will also be an opportunity to buy Dogs Trust goodies at the car park area, as well as pick up information about the charity and that of South West Lakes Trust.

FREE parking is available to event participants at the Activity Centre car park only - for Sat Nav directions, please follow TA22 9NU.

You do not have to have a dog to take part in this friendly, guided walk. However, if you do bring your canine companion with you, please ensure they are kept on the lead at all times around the lake (there is a dog exercise area onsite nearby, where they can be let off the lead). Also, please remember to clean up after your dog. Doggy poo bags will be provided, although there are no dog bins on site, so you will need to carry this with you.

Advanced booking for the event is advised (see below). You can also turn up and pay on the day. However, please arrive half an hour earlier to allow time to register.
