Spring into Action at Siblyback – Hedging our Bets!

10:30 am

24th March 2019

Following on from the success of last year, ‘Spring into Action at Siblyback’ is back! This year we are looking at enhancing the areas around the new playground to promote free play and benefit the wildlife. Come along to meet the wardens and lend a hand planting about 400 whips (small trees) in front of the play area. There will also be some fencing to do to protect the trees while they get established.

Once grown, the trees will enhance the play area, providing zones of shelter as well as establishing a low wildlife hedge along the fence line.

So grab the kids, get your gloves and wellies and help Siblyback Spring into Action!

Meet at 10.30am outside the Rock Hopper Café on 24 March.

Please bring suitable clothing for a practical task. All tools will be provided.

Free parking for all those that lend a hand on the day.

We are delivering this event in line with National Conservation Week, as part of our involvement in the Year of Green Action with South West Water. Throughout the week there will be a number of opportunities for visitors to get involved with learning about or helping the plants and wildlife around the lakes. Read more here.
