We have lots of trees to plant at Upper Tamar Lake County Wildlife Site in December. We planted hundreds of trees here in 2022 to gap up our existing hedge and to create a brand new hedge to join two woodlands together. This will improve habitat connectivity and be of benefit to biodiversity.

Everyone is welcome to help and you do not need any previous experience to join us.

When: Thursday 7 December. We will be starting at 10am and finishing around 3pm (you are not obliged to stay the whole day).

Where: Upper Tamar Lake car park.

Grid reference: SS 28851 11672,

Postcode: EX23 9SB

What3Words: squeaks.hurls.aimlessly.

What to bring: sturdy shoes, sensible clothing (check the weather forecast - warm clothes and waterproofs!), gardening gloves, lunch and drinks. If you have your own spade, please bring that too.

Please note that this session involves walking, uneven ground, use of spades and digging.

If you would like to come along, please email our ecologist Emma at [email protected].
