43 Species Spotted on College and Argal Winter Bird Walk

The bird life at College and Argal Lakes, near Penryn is always a big attraction for visitors and the winter in particular brings some very interesting visiting birds to the site.

On Saturday 18 February both keen birders and beginners joined South West Lakes Trust Countryside Warden, Beth Heasman and Dan Chaney, a local expert from the Cornwall Bird Watching and Preservation Society, for a three hour morning walk around the two lakes.

Over 43 species were spotted including two Cornwall rarities, Scaup and Yellow-browed warbler.
