Special Visitors at Siblyback Lake

South West Lakes Trust currently have some very special visitors at Siblyback Lake, near Liskeard. There have been some recent sightings of a Buff-Breasted Sandpiper and a Pectoral Sandpiper.

Nigel Tomkinson, Countryside Warden for South West Lakes Trust, said ‘We are very excited to have these rare birds at Siblyback. It is thought that they may have been blown off course by the recent hurricanes whilst migrating south from North America.”

Siblyback is surrounded by the striking Bodmin Moor and is home to a variety of birdlife. Why not visit us and see if you can spot them!
