Abandoned Farms around Burrator Reservoir – Request for Memorabilia

To raise awareness and recognise the important farming history that existed before the reservoir was constructed.

South West Lakes Trust, in partnership with Paul Rendell, are looking for anyone who may have any photos, artefacts or personal memories/family links to any of the farms, for a one off, FREE public exhibition which will be taking place in the Burrator Discovery Centre on Sunday 24 April, 10.00am – 4.00pm.

In addition, there will also be a short guided walk from 2.00pm – 4.00pm to explore some of the farms and we will also be launching our second Old Farms self-guided walk leaflet.

If you would like to book on the walk, receive more information on the leaflet or have artefacts/photos/stories you would be willing to loan/share with us for the exhibition, we would love to hear from you.

Please call 01822 855700, email heritage@swlakestrust.org.uk or pop into the Discovery Centre.
