Channel Kayaks Team up with South West Lakes Trust for their 2016 Adventure Programme

Channel Kayaks Ltd have announced an exciting new adventure kayaking and fishing programme at Wimbleball Lake, near Dulverton on Exmoor.

Working in conjunction with westcountry charity South West Lakes Trust, this collaboration breaks new ground in the kayaking and kayak fishing world. Participants will be able to sample this amazing sport in the stunningly beautiful location of Wimbleball Lake, set high up in the Exmoor hills. Channel Kayaks will provide not only the kayaks themselves, but also the full range of accessories needed to enjoy the day including; wetsuits, buoyancy aids, seats, paddles, qualified kayak instructors as well as a lakeside lunch.

All Channel Kayaks staff are fully BCU qualified so no prior kayak experience is needed as full instruction and coaching throughout the day is included. Novices, beginners and experts alike can have a brilliant day out on the water and there are no age or ability limitations. To add to the excitement there’s also a chance to sample some amazing Trout fishing at the same time. International angler Chris Ogborne and his team of professional fishing instructors will be there to give you world class tuition and you’ll be able to use the very finest fly fishing tackle at no extra charge.

As with all Channel Kayaks adventure days, the RNLI will be on hand to give advice on all aspects of water safety. In recognition of their sterling work, a contribution will be made from every participant’s ticket to RNLI funds.

Channel Kayaks CEO, Byron Baker Brown commented, ‘We are absolutely delighted to be working with such a professional and enthusiastic team from South West Lakes Trust. They know how special a place Wimbleball is and we hope that by adding this exciting new dimension to their watersports programme we will widen the audience awareness of what is a totally unique venue.’
