Board of Trustees Announces Planned Retirement of Trust Chief Executive

The Board of Trustees of award-winning westcountry charity, South West Lakes Trust, has announced, with regret, the planned retirement of Evelyn Stacey, Chief Executive, on 30 June 2015. Evelyn has decided to retire after fifteen successful years leading the Trust through its inception to becoming the South West’s largest combined environmental and recreation charity.

David Robertson, Chairman of the Board of South West Lakes Trust said, “Evelyn’s contribution in leading the charity and its supporting businesses cannot be underestimated. Through her strategic direction and innovative thinking, the Trust has developed from a concept to a vibrant example of best practice in environmental and recreational management winning the coveted Queen’s Award for Enterprise twice in recent years and attracting over millions of pounds investment into the local economy. Evelyn’s decision, while regretted, is understood by the Board and we are grateful she has given us time to ensure an orderly handover to her successor.”

The process to find a new Chief Executive to lead this dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation in its next phase of development is under way and advertisements will appear shortly.
