Her Majesty The Queen congratulates South West Lakes Trust - Mon 19 Jul 2010
South West Lakes Trust is the first in Cornwall to receive the Queens's Award for Enterprise in the Sustainable Development category. Evelyn Stacey said "The Queen's Award was a wonderful achievement and I was thrilled to meet Her Majesty the Queen. This has to be the high point of the Trust's development over the last ten years. I'd like to emphasise that this marvellous award is for each an every employee. Everyone has made exceptional efforts to make our organisation a huge success and our staff richly deserve to win the highest recognition."
Her Majesty's representative, Lady Mary Holborow, Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, Dame Commander of the Royal Victorian Order made a presentation a few weeks ago to mark the Trust's excellent accomplishment in gaining the Award. The Trust received an engraved rose bowl as well as the Grant of Appointment which bears the signatures of the HM The Queen and the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. Gordon Brown who was in office on 21 April when the Queen's Awards were announced).
