Leisure & Activities walks at Tamar Lakes Country Park

There are many miles of paths following the shorelines of the two lakes, meandering through woodland and on to open countryside. There’s also a wealth of wildlife to watch and discover, with bird hides located at both Upper and Lower Lakes. So whether you’re looking for a leisurely stroll, an active cycle ride or a more challenging walk, whatever your ability, there is something for everyone at Tamar

Maps of the lakes, with the walks highlighted, are available to download from the link to the right, leaflets detailing the two Bude Canal walks that link to Tamar Lakes are available to purchase from the Bude Tourist Information Centre (also soon to be available from Tamar Cafe). If you're feeling fit you can walk all the way from Bude to Tamar Lakes.

Stout footwear is recommended as sections of the path around the lake may become muddy during wet weather. At times, due to weather conditions or maintenance, it is necessary to temporarily close sections of these paths. Information on any closures will be listed below when necessary.
