The new Outdoor + Active Centre offers unrivalled watersports facilities in the unique surroundings of Stithians Lake.

With sailing, windsurfing and canoeing activities available, the new centre provides modern and well-equipped facilities both on and off the water. Tuition, launch and equipment hire are offered and further details of all the facilities at this lake can be found on our Outdoor + Active page.

In addition to the new centre there is also a brand new children's play area overlooking the lake, a trim trail for those who enjoy land based fitness, and a newly surfaced cycle way leading to the dam. With over five and a half miles of bank, walkers and bird watchers will enjoy the peaceful surroundings and bird hides.

Fly fishing for trout is well catered for with season and day permits and boat hire available from the centre.

An informal campsite is located near to the centre and is ideal for those wishing to spend a weekend on the water.

Public Transport: The nearest railway stations to Stithians Lake are Redruth (3.4 miles),  on the Penzance - London mainlineand Penryn (4.6 miles), which is a on a branch line from Truro to Falmouth Docks

There are a number of bus services which run within a few miles of the lake. The First Cornwall No. 42 Camborne to Falmouth stops at Penmarth (1.2 miles) and Stithians village (2.2 miles). The First Cornwall No. 82a Truro to Helston stops at Stithians village. Timetables are available on http://www.cornwallpublictransport.info/
