From 31 May until the 3 June South West Lakes Trust will be hosting a number of exciting conservation events at Roadford Lake to coincide with HM The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Success of Care Home Volunteers at Tamar Lakes - Tue 28 Feb 2012
Since December 2011 Care Workers from Arliemoor Care Home in Holsworthy have been bringing a group of residents to Tamar Lakes near Bude to assist with conservation work on site. Dormice population on the rise at Roadford - Sat 17 Sep 2011
South West Lakes Trust has been monitoring dormouse populations at Roadford Lake since 2004 with licensed dormouse handler Paul Gregory. Visitor centre brings new life to the Old Pumphouse - Mon 18 Jul 2011
A brand new cafe and visitor centre is welcoming guests at the recently refurbished Old Pumphouse at Lopwell. The breathtaking Lopwell Dam on the upper tidal mark of the River Tavy is an excellent site for bird watching and walking. New phase of Celebration Woodland planted at Roadford Lake - Tue 1 Feb 2011
The Trust planted the second phase of Roadford Celebration Woodland on 1 February 2011. 250 trees were planted, and we were joined on the day by Duchy College Students. In the last newsletter we reported on our new Volunteer Conservation Officer scheme, well we’re pleased to say that this scheme has got off to a flying start and we have now recruited fourteen dedicated volunteer officers. Guinness World Record Attempt at Roadford Lake - Thu 10 Dec 2009
An attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most trees planted in one hour in multiple locations took place between 11am and 12noon on Saturday 5th December throughout the UK.
