Biodiversity means the variety of life; the different plants, animals and micro-organisms, their genes, and the ecosystems in which they live and depend upon.
The Trust has several initiatives by which it is enhancing and conserving biodiversity and there are many ways that everyone can help and become involved.
The Trust has recently updated its Biodiversity Action Plan which includes action plans for eleven habitats and eight species. We have also embarked upon a two-year, jointly funded, Biodiversity Project with South West Water and we are currently encouraging volunteers to help us record species on our sites.
